Flat Roofing & Single Ply
Single ply roofing membranes are increasingly popular in UK construction projects, both for new build andrefurbishment. Single ply roofs are durable and resistant to the natural elements and have a long lifespan.
Torch Down Systems
Similar to tar and gravel roofing, the torch down roof consists of layers of fiberglass and polyester with bitumen that are added to the regular tar and gravel layering system. These extra sheets are torched down in the overlap areas during the installation process, using large flame throwing torches that melt the asphalt at the seams to join them together, which is the origin of the name “torch down roofing”. The final result is the vulcanization of a large rubber sheet onto a fiberglass base.
Leadworks
Lead sheet has long been a key component of roofs it is used for flashings and weatherings. The advantages of lead sheet as a roofing product are that it is long-lasting, weather-resistant and malleable, as flashing and other details need to be formed around the contours of the roof and movement joints in buildings.
Lead Sheet Flashings are indisputably the best materials for flashings, it is extremely malleable making it ideal for dressing over complicated shapes, especially the contours of most roofing tiles. Lead is long lasting at least equal to the best of slates.
